Council Camps
Camp Sawyer Camp Sawyer is located on West Summerland Key at mile marker 34.5 on the south side of US 1, About 4 miles south of the entrance to Bahia Honda State Park.
A ten acre site located deep in the Florida Keys with the Atlantic Ocean on the east shore and the Gulf of Mexico directly to the west. A tropical aquatic wonderland: swimming, snorkeling, fishing and boating are many of the favorite adventures.
Camp Everglades Camp Everglades is a great, natural property owned by the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America. The 253-acre campground is located WITHIN the Everglades National Park. The campground is primarily a pine hammock with eight primitive campsites, a main campfire arena, a main covered shelter, and pump wells. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets are common in this campground with clear views of the horizon in the east and the west.
Camp Seminole Unfortunately, Camp Seminole is close until further notice due to damage from Hurricane Wilma. Camp Seminole, located in northwest Broward County, is 120 acres of camping wilderness. The address is 3301 SW 142 Avenue in Davie, Florida. Facilities are available for rental for outside groups as well as Scouting groups. Twelve campsites are available for traditional Boy Scout camping, including one family camping area with RV hookup. All campsites include picnic tables, campfire ring, rest rooms, and showers. Activity areas include a volleyball court, archery range, craft room, nature lodge, nature trails, a large field for sports, and a small lake for learning fishing, canoeing and rowing.
